(NASDAQ: GMCR), announces seven new K-Cup® coffees and teas for the Keurig® Single-Cup Brewing System. Green Mountain Coffee’s expanded selection appeals to a broad range of taste preferences and helps maintain Keurig’s leadership in providing the widest variety of coffees, teas and hot cocoa of any single-cup brewing system.
New K-Cup offerings from Green Mountain Coffee include three new Extra Bold coffees: Double Black Diamond™ – the darkest and most intense offering; Hazelnut Dark Roast – a bolder, richer hazelnut coffee; and Dark Magic® Decaf – Green Mountain Coffee’s best selling dark roast now in a decaf. Specially created from some of the world’s finest coffees, Green Mountain’s Extra Bold K-Cups® contain over 20% more ground coffee than regular K-Cups and are designed for coffee lovers who prefer a more robust and intense cup.
Another coffee blend completely new to K-Cups is Green Mountain Coffee’s Half-Caff, which was launched in response to consumer requests. The Half-Caff is a medium roast with all of the flavor of our caffeinated blends, but with half of the caffeine.
Three new teas from Celestial Seasonings® Teas are also being introduced in K-Cup portion packs: Sleepytime® Herbal Tea (Celestial Seasonings’ #1 seller), Decaffeinated Green Tea, and India Spice Chai, which is a blend of premium teas combined with natural spices and exotic flavors. All these teas can now be brewed quickly with the touch of a button on the Keurig brewer.
In addition to the seven new K-Cup varieties, Green Mountain Coffee is also offering, for a limited time, two seasonal coffees in K-Cups – Wicked Winter™ Blend and Golden French Toast®.
